Turkan-hard cheese made from sheep's milk has an edible crust covered with natural poop powder with the aroma of autumn forest and porcini mushrooms. The taste of Turcan is salty, with a long aftertaste of salted caramel, herbs and roasted hazelnuts. The texture is hard, thick, closed, sometimes brittle, with the presence of amino acids that will “crunch” during consumption (this indicates a long maturation process). And in the aroma you will certainly feel notes of freshly cut young grass!it's incredible!
Hard sheep's cheese Turcan - rules of enjoyment :
Turcan is a fairly "adult" and self-sufficient cheese, so to fully experience all its taste colors, we recommend combining it with aged full-bodied red wines (for example, from such grape varieties as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nero d'avola) or with strong alcohol: whiskey, bourbon, Chacha.
Before serving, be sure to leave the cheese for 15-20 minutes at room temperature, so that it fully reveals all its beautiful flavors.
